Interesting factoid

[edit]

This article could mention the fact that Dusty is the fourth man to have managed both the Giants and Expos/Nationals, along with Charlie Fox, Frank Robinson, and Felipe Alou.50.136.139.204 (talk) 23:17, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Poll

[edit]

I'd like to begin a poll. A certain editor disagrees with this edit. "Baker won the 2022 World Series with the Astros after being the active manager with the most wins in the regular season without winning a championship. He is the oldest manager to win a championship in the four major North American sports." What do other editors think? I feel the user is being arbitrary. There's not a good reason to leave out "without winning a championship" and for that cause it should be put back.Extraordinary2 (talk) 22:27, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not true….

[edit]

Dusty Baker was NOT the oldest manager to play in and won the World Series. That title belongs to Jack McKeon who was 72 when he managed and won the 2003 World Series. 2601:589:407E:1A70:BCE0:CCAE:757A:8514 (talk) 00:10, 12 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
